I’ve written a number of plays, two of which were produced by Twenty-Something Theatre (now Firepot Performance) in Vancouver, BC.
>> PRODIGALS | A big-city dreamer returns to his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to testify in a murder trial, reopening old wounds in his circle of friends and discovering that his missed opportunities are more than just regrets. Directed by Peter Boychuk. Developed and produced by Twenty-Something Theatre, 2011. (90 minutes, no intermission.)
Feature film adaptation: I adapted this story into a feature screenplay that I sold to Vancouver’s Whiskaye Films, who partnered with Sociable Films for a film that will premiere at the Whistler Film Festival in December, 2017. It stars Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and David Alpay (Ararat).
>> US & EVERYTHING WE OWN | My second collaboration with Twenty-Something Theatre. This play examines a young couple’s hunger for home ownership and meaningful careers and how those competing interests threaten to destroy their relationship. Directed by Sabrina Evertt. Developed and produced by Twenty-Something Theatre, 2013. (90 minutes, no intermission.)
