Plays

Prodigals

A big-city dreamer returns to his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to testify in a murder trial, reopening old wounds in his circle of friends and discovering that his missed opportunities are more than just regrets. Directed by Peter Boychuk. Developed and produced by Twenty-Something Theatre (now Firepot Performance), 2011.
>> 90 minutes, no intermission.

Feature film adaptation

I adapted this story into a feature screenplay that I sold to Vancouver’s Whiskaye Films, who partnered with Sociable Films for a film that premiered at the Whistler Film Festival in December 2017. Directed by Michelle Ouellet, the film adaptation stars Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and David Alpay (Ararat). LevelFilm, the distributor, brought it to theatres in Spring 2018. The film is now available on iTunes and elsewhere. More info here.

Us & Everything We Own

My second collaboration with Twenty-Something Theatre. This play examines a young couple’s hunger for home ownership and meaningful careers and how those competing interests threaten to destroy their relationship. Directed by Sabrina Evertt. Developed and produced by Twenty-Something Theatre (now Firepot Performance), 2013.
>> 90 minutes, no intermission.
