PRODIGALS
Update: Read the first 10 pages!
Prodigals is my first one-act play. You might’ve seen it first in 2010 when Twenty-Something Theatre put on a workshop production at Vancouver’s Havana on Commercial Drive. After all the positive feedback from audiences and critics, we decided to continue the play’s development.
Some scenes just needed a tweak and some characters needed their heads dunked in cold water. What we came up with was a more mature, refined production than what audiences originally saw in 2010. I’m happy to say that, in doing so, we didn’t sacrifice any of the childish sarcasm that brings me such joy.
Our 2011 production at SFU Woodward’s received even more critical acclaim than last year’s show. While I’m happy it was such a successful run, I can’t wait to focus my attention on the next play… which is coming soon!
